Unique floor, wall and countertop solutions, from design to installation

Julian Sanchez always knew he wanted to run his own business. After attending college, Julian joined the U.S. Marines before returning home to Austin to realize his goal. In alignment with his military training, preparation came first: He began his education in the industry by working at a big box store, where he knew he could develop a broad understanding of flooring, wall and countertop products. With a journeyman’s mindset, Julian then worked his way through multiple roles at different companies to learn each part of the business, taking on positions as an estimator, a manufacturer’s rep, and as a salesperson, in addition to extensive training in installation – all with his end goal in mind.

Three years later, along with his wife Stephanie, the two opened Castle Flooring & Design. According to their plan, Stephanie at first kept her job as a mortgage underwriter. Within two years, she was working for the family business full time, helping clients make product selections and creating visual design solutions. As a fused glass artist, Stephanie credits her upbringing in California for developing her design sensibility through regular exposure to art and music. As a people person, she especially values guiding clients through the design journey and helping them make selections that will have a positive impact in their home environment.
